Blue Star banners available
Ferris Goodridge Post 330 of the American Legion announced the availability of "Blue Star Banners" to be given, free of charge, to Ogden-Spencerport families who have a loved one serving in the Armed Forces of the United States during wartime. This includes activated members of the National Guard and Reserves.
The Blue Star Banner is an eight by 16-inch white field with a blue star sewn onto a red banner. The banner displayed in the front window of a home, shows a family's pride in their loved one serving in the U.S. Military and reminds everyone that preserving America's freedom demands sacrifice.
Military families may contact Ferris Goodridge Post 330 at 352-6691. Anyone interested in obtaining further information regarding the program may visit the National American Legion website, www.legion.org.
