Spencerport Board of Education
scheduled to adopt budget at April 9 meeting

The Spencerport Board of Education will adopt a proposed budget for the 2002-2003 school year at the April 9 board meeting at 7 p.m. in the Board Room, 71 Lyell Avenue. Board members have worked with community residents during the last several months to prepare the budget document.

Once the board adopts the budget on April 9, there will be several budget information presentations, including a Budget Hearing and Candidate Information Meeting Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the Board of Education conference room in the Administration Building ,71 Lyell Avenue. Copies of the budget will also be available for review at the Administration Building, at each of the district's schools and at the Ogden Public Library. The budget vote is Tuesday, May 21 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Administration Building, 71 Lyell Avenue. This year, there will be two additional locations for voting: Munn Elementary School and Taylor Elementary School.

The budget presentation schedule is:

• Monday, April 22 - 6 p.m. - Kiwanis Club, Pinewood Country Club
• Wednesday, April 24 - Noon - Chamber of Commerce, Pinewood Country Club
