finish season 13-1
The Kendall Varsity wrestling team enjoyed another excellent season in 2001-2002. The Eagles won the Genesee-Region League Division II title, the Batavia Christmas Tournament team title, the LeRoy Tournament team championship and completed the season with a 13-1 win loss record. Captains Casey Burchfield, Troy Tooley and Richard Williams led this year's team. Team members were Jason Graybill, David Warren, Wes Snyder, Donald Williams, Torry Tooley, Matt Beres, Geoff Chippendale, Chris Beres, James Kirstein, Caleb Hennekey, Todd Wright, Nick Cater, Sean MacKenzie, Joe Gminski and Jason Hardenbrook.
Torry Tooley, Troy Tooley and Casey Burchfield also earned Section V Class C titles at the Class C Tournament. All three wrestlers were honored at the Dinner of Champions held at Ridgemont Country Club in March. Sophomore Torry Tooley was honored with the Class C Sportsmanship award as well.
Geoff Chippendale, Troy Tooley, Donald Williams and Casey Burchfield were named to the Genesee Region League 2001-2002 All-Star team. And seven Kendall wrestlers have been selected for the annual Medina Journal Register All-Orleans County All-Star wrestling team - Torry Tooley, Troy Tooley, Matt Beres, Donald Williams, Casey Burchfield, Richard Williams and Geoff Chippendale.
