Monroe County Golf Courses "Swing" into spring
"The Parks" golf course facilities at Churchville, Durand Eastman and Genesee Valley opened last week for the 2002 golf season.
All three courses will have 18-holes open to the public starting Wednesday, April 3. Given the unseasonably warm winter, the courses are in excellent shape and ready for play, according to P.G.A. Master Professional Jack Tindale.
"This year we will focus on improving playing conditions, speeding up play, creating a unique junior golf program, and increasing the quality of service Monroe County golfers receive," said Tindale. "We are looking forward to hosting the 5th Annual Monroe County Golf Championship to benefit The Parks Junior Golf Foundation and welcome all Monroe County residents to visit our courses and compete for county champion," Tindale said.
The Parks handles the management and operation of Monroe County's three public golf courses (Durand Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville).
