BROCKPORT

•Thompson, Sylvia Blanche, Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at age 81, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Robert; mother of Timothy, Martha (Minor), Paul (Christine), Mary and Katie; grandmother of Alex and Liam Sinclair and Joshua, Valerie, Irene, Joan, David, and Mary Thompson; sister of Vivienne Henderson and Pauline Snyder; sister-in-law of Patricia (Thompson) MacDonald and Philip MacDonald and Robert Snyder.

Longtime member of Newman Oratory, Brockport and a Charter Member of Amnesty International Group #191, Brockport. She was an activist in Human Rights issues, and a woman of faith, heart, humor and intelligence.

A Memorial Mass will be said at the Newman Oratory, 101 Kenyon, Brockport at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 20. Contributions can be made to the Newman Oratory.


HAMLIN

•Haight, Marjorie W. (Hincher), Peacefully on April 1, 2002 at age 93. She is predeceased by her husband, Leland Haight (1993) and her sons, Richard (1996) and Alan (1988). She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janet Haight; 10 grandchildren, Rick Haight, Marge Fisher, Jim Haight, Bonnie Hartman, Edward Haight, Cindy Tinkous, Phil Haight, KC, Kenny and Marty Haight; also 23 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren; her sister Jean (Hincher) Craw-ford of Texas; also several nieces, nephews and close friends.

A Memorial Service was held April 6 at Walker Bible Baptist Church, Hilton. Contributions can be made to Walker Bible Baptist Church or Morton Baptist Church in her memory.


HILTON

•Borate, Evelyn M., Peacefully on April 3, 2002. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Harold. She is survived by her children, Karen Elko, Judy Valente; grandchildren, Barbara (David) Raforth, Michael (Sheri) Valente, Darlene (Joe) Inbergamo, Michelle (Kevin) Borrino, Teresa Giannetto, and John Elko Jr.; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Ron Giannetto and Dom DelVecchio.

A Private Service was held at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Those wishing can make contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.


•Mason, Joseph D., Peacefully on April 3, 2002 in San Antonio, Texas at 84 years of age. He was formerly from Hilton. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Mason (1998). Survived by his daughter, Andrea Anthony (Benjamin) Benavides; his grandchildren, Thomas (Lisa) Anthony, Marshall and Marina Benavides; his brother, Alfred (Carmel) Mason; his nieces, Ellen (Mark) Henry, Linda (Gary) Kanaley; his nephews, Bernard (Amy) Most and Melvyn (Linda) Most; and also several great nieces, nephews and close friends.

Joe was a member of The Hilton Lions Club and a member of the Helotes Lions Club of Texas.

A funeral service celebrating his life was held April 8 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton. Interment at Parma Union Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Hilton Lions Club in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Kaminke, Frederick H., Sunday, April 7, 2002. Survived by his wife, Adelyn; sister-in-law, Lucy Piedmont of Holley; brothers-in-law, Tory (Lorraine) Potote of Holley, Fred Dunn of North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and special neighbors and friends. Frederick was a supervisor of drafting at GE in Brockport for several years.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 10 at St. Mary's Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•McGuire, Daniel S., Suddenly, April 2, 2002 at age 57. Predeceased by his father, Donald McGuire. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (True) McGuire); his children Daniel Jr., Scott (Shannon) and Sherri (Matt) Harrington; grandchildren, Arieta, Robert, Danielle, Jasmyne, Andrew and Valeri; his mother, Aileen McGuire; brothers, John, James and Mark (Nancy); mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Blair True; several brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held April 6 at Ogden Baptist Church, Spencerport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Ogden Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of choice in his memory.
