Brice 2-hitter leads Holley
Sophomore Pat Brice tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Holley Hawks to a 1-0 win over Byron-Bergen in high school baseball April 15.
Brice struck out eight while walking three and got all the offense he would need in the fourth inning. Matt Nelson reached on an error, stole second and was driven home on a single by Justin Penna - the only hit for Holley in the game.
Byron-Bergen starting pitcher Adam Morgan was equally impressive, allowing just the one hit and three walks while striking out eight including all three batters in the fifth inning in the complete game loss.
Holley raised its record to 1-2 with the victory while the Bees fell to 0-3.
