Quite a shower!

It was a big surprise when Willis and Carrie Heise returned to their home on the corner of Kenmor and Countyline Road in Morton April 10. A geyser had erupted from a water line near the home, shooting a stream of water over the two-story house. According to Kendall Supervisor John Becker, increased pressure in the pipe caused a break in a weak spot on the small water line branch. Repairs were made in a few hours. In other water line news, Becker said the Kendall-Hamlin waterline along the lakefront is completed and approved for residents to tie into. Restoration work on the landscape will soon be underway, too.
