NYS Travel Guide available free
The Silver Anniversary Edition of the 2002 "I Love NY Travel Guide" is available free from Empire State Development's Division of Tourism. The 200-page full-color publication highlights thousands of attractions throughout the state, including museums, sports facilities, music venues, historic sites, vineyards, campgrounds and much more.
This year's travel guide spotlights the Harlem Renaissance, Revolutionary War attractions and celebrations, the Underground Railroad and women's history.
Attractions are grouped according to the state's 11 distinct vacation regions. Each section contains a regional map; town-by-town attraction listings; and events, shopping, golf course and camping information. The guide also contains phone numbers for regional tourism agencies and an official Map Works (a Rochester-based company) New York state road map.
