Great jumpers

The 15th annual Jump Role for Heart event held April 24 at the Taylor Elementary School in Spencerport. According to originator and coordinator Karen Gaffner, a gym teacher, the goal was to raise $15,000; and exceed the expectations by raising about $15,300. About 365 students participated; a record. "We've raised over $120,000 for the American Heart Association. I'm delighted and thankful to the community," said Gaffner. Pupils jumped over and through ropes for almost two hours.
