Library holds read-in

Join the staff, trustees and friends of the Ogden Farmers' Library for an afternoon of reading on Sunday, May 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the village gazebo. The Read-In is part of the library's month-long celebration of "Get Caught Reading Month," an event sponsored by the Association of American Publishers which seeks to promote reading and literacy as a way of life and a recreational choice.

The public is invited to stop in, and to bring family and friends, and a blanket or lawn chair and spend the afternoon reading and relaxing along the canal. Food will be available for purchase from Barton's Parkside Hots and Java John's, or bring a picnic lunch. There will be door prizes for children and adults, giveaways for all who attend, and a special appearance by children's book character Jesse Bear, who will be available for photographs.

Call Patty Uttaro at 352-2141 for information.
