Area businesses join to support Duck Derby

Once again this year, area businesses are supporting Duck Derby taking place on August 11, during the Brockport Summer Arts Festival.

SUNY Brockport is a new sponsor, this year. Thanks to Terrin Hover, VP of Student Affairs, the university has agreed to a $500 sponsorship. Hover also serves on the BISCO board.

Eastman Savings & Loan Federal Credit Union has opened a new branch office in the Wegmans plaza and will support the cause with a $1,000 sponsorship.

Both Wegmans and Wal-Mart have agreed to support this event with major sponsorships.

Many other businesses are giving support in the way of prize donations. All Seasons Travel, a long time supporter of BISCO, is donating a Toronto Trip Package. Pettis Pools will be giving away a Jacuzzi Package to a lucky duck winner. The Bon Ton, The Apple Tree and Chase Pitkin will be giving away shopping sprees.

"It's been an exciting pleasure for BISCO members to work in partnership with Lakeside Foundation to continue this community event," said George Dahl, Duck Derby chair. "We want to thank Brockport and the surrounding area businesses for their most appreciated support."
