Miss Upstate NY Pageant Five area teens were finalists in the Miss Upstate New York Teen-Ager Pageant held April 20. The event was presented by Amy Bell, director of Les Belles Pageants and held in the Harro East Ballroom. The 2002 Miss Upstate Teenager is Tyra Victoria Kelly, a senior at Pittsford Sutherland High School. First runner up is Christine Walker, a senior at Churchville-Chili High School. Second, third and fourth runners up are Sashalee Pallagi of Avon, Kelly Gunio or Minerva Deland and Erin St. Denny of Gates Chili. The competition consisted of evening gown, swimsuit, interview, a one minute speech and question. Tyra Kelly will continue on to compete in the New York State Teen-Ager Pageant in Norwich, New York. |
