Bishop Kearney debuts new summer camp series

Bishop Kearney High School is getting into the summer camp business offering an array of camps aimed at students from fourth to 12 grade. Campers can request a pamphlet at (585) 342-4000 extension 239 or register on-line at www.bkhs.org.

Kearney Kamps offer campers a variety of selections including:

Jr. Scientist Camp (July 8-26) - designed for children grades 6-8. This interactive camp will cover astronomy, forensics, kitchen chemistry, ecology/environmental awareness and fundamentals of motion.

College Bound Genetics (July 8-26) - designed for high school students. This college-level genetics camp will earn students college credit through St. John Fisher.

College Bound Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy (July 8-26) - designed for high school students. This camp will focus on energy transformations and the future of alternative energy sources to fossil fuels. Campers will earn college credit through St. John Fisher.

Sports of All Sorts Camp (August 5-9) - designed for children grades 5-9. This camp is a chance to have fun all day playing different sports and taking advantage of Bishop Kearney's beautiful 42-acre campus and super facilities.

Elite Soccer (July 8-12) - designed for children grades 6-12. Learn strategy, conditioning and raise your skill level.

Ed Nietopski's Basketball Camp (July 8-12, 15-19, 22-26) - Learn from the legend through drills, lectures and tournament play.

Theatre Camp (July 1-August 2) - designed for children grades 7-11. This camp is for beginners through advanced and will combine acting, dancing and singing into an overall theatre program culminating with a production.

Music Camp (August 5-16) - designed for children grades 6-11. This instrumental music camp will involve small and large group instruction for students, beginners to intermediate.

Cheerleading Camp (July 15-18) - designed for children grades 4-12. Learn from the best program in Section 5. Let Coach Mary Ann Walker and her staff give you some of the skills that have made her team No. 1.
