Jump Rope for Heart a success
at Churchville Elementary School
On Monday, May 13, Churchville Elementary School third and fourth grade students jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in their second annual Jump Rope for Heart Event. Ninety students participated in this year's event raising over $5,400 for the American Heart Association.
"This year's event was a huge success, the kids did an awesome job," said Chris Daly, physical education teacher at Churchville Elementary School and Jump Rope for Heart co-coordinator. "We are very proud of all our students, and we had a lot of fun."
This is the second year CES has participated in the jump rope event raising over $900 last year. Helping to coordinate this year's event were Chris Field, Amy Harmon and Jaime Hintz.
Jump Rope for Heart is a program designed to promote physical fitness and heart health through the activity of jumping rope. It is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
