Girl Scouts working on project
for Troop 491 Bronze Award

Spencerport Junior Girl Scout Troop 491 is earning their Bronze Award. They are collecting donations for animals waiting to be adopted at Spencerport and Scottsville Veterinary Adoptions, and community members are invited to help.

The Bronze Award is the highest award that Junior Girl Scouts can achieve, and it is brand new this year. Troop 491 is a third year Junior Troop and would like to earn this award before they bridge to become Cadette Girl Scouts.

The girls have worked hard so far. They have decorated a box and it is in the Spencerport IGA store near the cash registers. They have made posters and flyers, and hung them in area businesses. They will collect all donations and then make arrangements to take them to the shelters.

The items they are looking for are as follows: Pedigree dry dog food, Purina dry cat food, any kind of canned cat and dog food, dog and cat treats, new dog and cat toys, paper towels, tall and extra large garbage bags, liquid hand soap, hand and bath towels, and blankets.
