Boys Track and Field team qualified

The Boys Track and Field Team at Spencerport High School qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the spring 2001-02 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above. The team had a GPA of 91.62 and is coached by Jamie Schneider.

The student-athletes who qualified for Boys Track & Field are: Andrew Cottrell, Jameson Blandford, Colin McCloskey, Derek Pulhamus, Nathanial Lowe, David Czora, Benjamin VanScoter, Matthew Ruf, Matthes MacGilvary, Donald Pillittere, Jonathan Hogue and Robert Fenity.

For the 2001-02 school year, Spencerport had nine of its 24 varsity teams qualified for this award.
