NYWEA to host environmental conference in Rochester
Several hundred environmental professionals will converge in Rochester June 16-19 for the Spring Technical Conference and Exhibition, sponsored by the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA), the organization of water quality management professionals. The conference will be held at the downtown Hyatt Regency, and will include 14 technical sessions as well as social and special events. NYWEA President John D. Cameron, Jr., PE, will host a reception for all participants at the George Eastman House the evening of June 16 and will open the conference program at 8:15 a.m. on June 17.
The NYWEA conference offers a unique opportunity for environmental professionals to learn and share ideas relating to the water environment. Those invited include professional engineers, municipal wastewater facility managers, manufacturer's representatives and equipment suppliers, scientists, academicians, environmental lawyers, watershed managers, and students. The NYWEA is bringing recognized federal, state and private sector experts in the field for sessions and workshops on topics including: government affairs; wastewater and its treatment; pollution and odor control; biosolids and pesticides management; health and safety; industry issues; water sustainability; storm water and sewer issues; operators equipment; watersheds and watershed public education; wet weather management; and, crises management.
