Go Art! announces May-June exhibit schedule
The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council announces the May-June exhibit schedule for its three gallery locations: 204 Main Street in Batavia; in Kafana Gourmet Coffee, 10 East Bank Street in Albion; and in the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce, 433 Main Street in Medina. Admission is free to all three galleries as well as for all artist receptions.
From May 14-June 27: The GO ART! Batavia Gallery space will host a photography exhibit by Betty Casey entitled "From Eastern Europe." The exhibit includes a variety of black and white prints from Casey's travels to Lithuania, Belarus, Poland and other Eastern European countries. A Meet-the-Artist Reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday or by appointment.
At the Albion satellite gallery, 10 East Bank Street through June 27: "New Nocturnes" by Arthur Barnes is on exhibit. The exhibit includes pen, ink and watercolor night scenes by the Albion artist. Albion gallery hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Medina satellite gallery, 433 Main Street will host an exhibit of Historic Canal Prints featuring the reconstruction of the Erie Barge Canal in Medina. The prints were made from original negatives donated to the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council by the New York State Museum. Medina gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed 1 to 2 p.m. for lunch. The exhibit runs through August 14.
