Summer driver education classes offered in Spencerport
There are 30 openings in the Summer Driver Education program offered by Spencerport Continuing Education.
Twenty classroom sessions will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Fridays beginning July 8. Students are required to attend 16 road classes. They will be held on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday, or Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday. Times of road classes will be assigned on a priority basis. First priority is given to Spencerport seniors, then juniors and sophomores. Remaining spots in the class will be offered to out-of-district students. The class fee, due at the time of registration, is $320 for Spencerport students or $330 for out-of-district students.
To register, students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at a summer registration meeting on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board of Education meeting room located on the first floor of the Administration Building, 71 Lyell Avenue, Spencerport.
Spots in the class will be assigned by position in line in the priority stated above. All candidates must bring their New York Learner's permit. No registrations will be accepted prior to the June 10 meeting.
