MCC named Mastercam Certified Training Center

Monroe Community College's Applied Technologies Center has been recognized as an official Mastercam Certified Training Center. The college is the first in the state and one of only 10 in the nation to hold the certification.

Mastercam, a computer-aided design and manufacturing software made by CNC Software, Inc., is the most widely used software of its type in the world. It takes drawings of parts that are designed on the computer and assigns codes and commands to them, allowing the machines that make the parts to produce them automatically. Manufacturing companies favor this approach because it saves time and money, and is extremely precise.
