Spencerport School district budget passes

Spencerport School District residents approved the $50,335,097 budget for the 2002-03 school year with a vote of 1,864 in favor, 915 opposed at the polls on May 21. Residents also approved the transportation proposition authorizing the district to purchase 10 school buses and a maintenance van for a total of $569,994.

Residents also elected incumbents Laura McFarlane (1,837 votes) and David Dorofy (1,681 votes) and newcomer Christine Geen (1,766 votes) to the school board. Incumbent John Goehle received 1,550 votes.
