BROCKPORT
Conte, Richard G., On Saturday, June 8, 2002, age 41. Husband of Sue Conte; father of Rocco G. Conte and Maria C. Conte; son of Richard E. and Carmella Ranalli Conte; brother of George Conte and Tina Conte; uncle of one niece and three nephews. Stock car driver #717 and employee at Roto Rooter in Rochester.
Services were held June 12 at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, Bergen. Burial St. Brigid's Cemetery, Bergen. Memorials can be made to the family in his memory.
Earley, Burton W., Age 77 of Bradenton, Florida, died June 3, 2002 in Blake Memorial Hospital. Burton was born in Walker, NY and he served in the Army in WWII. He owned Earley's Paint & Collision Shop in Clarkson, until he moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1970, where he was a distributor for Texaco Oil Company. He was a volunteer fireman for Sibley Hose in Brockport. He was also a very active member of the Brockport Lions Club and was a member of the American Legion Kirby Stewart Post No. 24 of Bradenton, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Hope (David) Wallace; three grandsons, Adam, Daniel and Jonathan; two sisters, Dorothy Onley of Rochester, and Sayre L. Henry of Hamlin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Trudy and daughter Holly Janice Earley Keim.
A Memorial Service was held at the First Presbyterian Church, East Avon, June 15. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia Society, 1307 Dale Mabry Highway North, Suite 101, Tampa, Florida 33607 in memory of Holly Janice Earley Keim.
Kreason, Leona M., On June 8, 2002 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband, Clayton. Survived by her brother, Lee (Joyce) Cook of Hilton; sister, Juanita Rollins of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held June 11 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Garland Ceremony.
Donations can be made in her memory to American Heart Association.
Mann, Sophie K., On June 8, 2002 at the age of 80. She is predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Mann in 1988. Survived by her children, Dennis, Linda Combs, Ronn, Sylvia (Dan) Fleming, Kenneth (Paulina) and Jacqueline (Brad) Mousel; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Andy (Helen), Tony (Dorothy), Willie (Francis), and Henry (Irene); many nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Mass was said June 12 at the Church of The Nativity BVM, Brockport. Inurnment Lake View Cemetery.
Swan, Andrew M., On Tuesday, May 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean; his son, Richard (Betty) of Brockport; grandsons, Robert and David; great-grandsons, Robert, Tyler and Timothy.
A Memorial Service was held June 15, at Brockport United Methodist Church. Expressions of sympathy can be directed to Brockport United Methodist Church or Sweden Senior Center.
O'Brien, James William III, Age 36, a resident of Tamarac, Florida, hailing from Hamlin, died June 6, 2002. James was in active service for two years in the U.S. Army. Survived by his wife, Tamara O'Brien of Tamarac; sons, Sean O'Brien and Kevin O'Brien; parents, James and Cynthia O'Brien of Plantation; siblings, Michael (Christina) O'Brien of Georgia, Kelly O'Brien of New Jersey, Scott (Lisa) O'Brien of Plantation; grand-parents, Richard and Nancy Boulton of New York.
A Funeral Mass was said June 10 at St. David Catholic Church, Davie, Florida.
Landro, Elsa U., Sunday, June 2, 2002 at age 94. She was predeceased in 1975 by her husband, Ingebrigt Landro. She is survived by her children, John Landro of Rochester, and Karen (Gary) Reichert of Spencerport; three grandchildren, Emma, Brian (Jennifer) and Amanda; her sister, Margit (Reidar) Hui of Norway; and her niece, Chloie (Steve) Cowan of Indiana.
A Memorial Mass was said June 15 at St. Jude's Church, Rochester. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
