Spencerport grandfather
graduates with Class of 2002
Frank DiNito, an 81-year old grandfather who's been married for 54 years, walked across the stage to collect his diploma June 21. With the help of his son and granddaughter, he took advantage of a state program that allows WWII veterans to receive a high school diploma if they weren't able to do so before because of military service. Frank left high school to join the Navy. "I really wanted to graduate from high school," he says. "He's excited about it," says his wife, Nancy. "And I think it's wonderful." Frank and his family and friends celebrated the occasion with a graduation party.
