lists summer youth programs

The Town of Sweden Recreation Department will be offering some new summer recreation programs at the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center, located at 4927 Lake Road in Brockport.

•Hip Hop Dance Camp runs from July 29 through August 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Participants should be 11 to 15 years of age. The program fee is $40 and includes a camp t-shirt.

•Young Tumblers Gymnastics Camp runs from July 22 through July 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. Participants should be approximately 5 to 10 years of age. The program fee is $38 and includes a camp t-shirt.

Those 9 to 13 years old can participate in The Crocodile Recreation "Dog Days of Summer," a chance to play indoors and out at the new Community Center. Indoors there will be basketball, indoor soccer, and group games and outside there will be kickball, flag football and ultimate Frisbee. This program will run from Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 30, from noon to 3 p.m. each day. Limited to 40 participants. This program will be supervised by full time Sweden Recreation Department employees. Fee is $85 and includes the first limited edition t-shirts that will feature The Sweden/Clarkson Crocodile.
