District Governor's first day
Rotary District 7120's newest governor, Donald Alhart, took office on July 1 and visited the Spencerport club on his first evening. The reason for this was that the local club presented him with a check for $3,200 to be used for the Rotary International Polio Eradication Campaign during the 2002-03 Rotary year. Rotary International is attempting to raise 80 million dollars, which will be matched by a donation from the Gates Foundation. The goal is to completely eradicate childhood polio in the world by the year 2005. Two-thirds of the money presented came from donations made in Mitchell's memory.
