Fair competition applications available

Entry applications for competitions to be held at the 2002 Monroe County Fair are available now at the Fair Office, located in the Dome Center at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, and at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 249 Highland Avenue. Competitive contests will be held in the following categories: flowers, fruits, vegetables, foods, sewing and handwork, photography, painting, drawing and sculpture, toys and dolls, talent, livestock, rabbits, pigeons and poultry.

There are contests for both youth and adults who will compete for ribbons, rosettes, trophies and prize money. Last year, nearly $20,000 in prize money was distributed to fair contestants. Entries will remain on display at the 2002 Monroe County Fair, July 31-August 4.
