Harter named as Spencerport Boys Basketball coach

Joshua Harter has been named as the Spencerport Rangers new varsity boys basketball coach. He replaces Mike Blackwell who coached the Rangers for eight years.

Harter currently is the top assistant at Geneseo State University where he has been for the past three years helping the Knights to a record of 50-31. He previously was an assistant varsity coach at Geneseo High School, helping the Blue Devils to a Class C Sectional Championship in 1999. He is a graduate of Brockport State with teacher certification in physical education and received his master's degree from the United States Sports Academy.

There will be a "Meet the Coach Night" on Wednesday, July 17 to introduce Coach Harter. It will be held in the district's Administration Building in room 15 beginning at 6 p.m.
