Leaders for Hamlin/Clarkson Lakeside Campaign named
Becky McCorry-Campbell of Hamlin and Stan Pogroszewski of Clarkson have agreed to serve as co-chairs of the Hamlin/Clarkson Committee for Lakeside's "Building for the Next Generation" Capital Campaign. This $3 million project will renovate Lakeside Memorial Hospital's existing OB Department and expand the Surgical Department.
Stan Pogroszewski has volunteered at Lakeside for the past 11 years. "I volunteer for Lakeside because I feel it fills an important need in the community, and it's very convenient. Lakeside is a Class A hospital," stated Pogroszewski.
Becky McCorry-Campbell served on the Lakeside Health System Board of Governors for many years and played a key role in the strategic planning for the health system. "I have lived in Hamlin all my life and have watched Lakeside emerge from a small hospital into a full service health system. Lakeside Memorial Hospital is important to this community, and we need to help Lakeside build for the future and keep its quality care close to home," stated McCorry-Campbell.
The Hamlin/Clarkson Committee will play a key role in helping Lakeside receive an extra $300,000. Lakeside has been awarded a Kresge Foundation challenge grant of $300,000, which means that Lakeside must reach its goal of $3 million to receive the grant. To date over $2.8 million has been raised.
Volunteers are currently being recruited to serve on the committee. Anyone interested in volunteering approximately five to six hours of their time to serve on the committee can call the Lakeside Foundation at 585-395-6049.
