Stunt bicycle champion comes to Hamlin
June 15, the Hamlin Youth Group, with a grant from The American Lung Association, brought Chris Poulos to Hamlin for a stunt bicycle show. Chris Poulos is a leader in the Extreme Sports industry and the 1991 World Bicycle Stunt Champion. He is also an excellent role model and during his show delivered positive messages on hard work and healthy life styles, according to Hamlin Youth Group representatives. The show included messages on anti-tobacco, positive thinking, trust, teamwork and safety. He demonstrated bicycle stunts and tricks for over an hour in the St. John's gymnasium. Fifty kids and adults enjoyed the show. Above, Poulos plays basketball with some volunteers from the audience.
