Cobblestone Fair and Quilt Show set for August 3
Cobblestone Society members from a six-county area are girding for their 29th annual Antiques and Collectibles Fair and Quilt Show on Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Society's museum ground in Childs. The museum is 2.5 miles north of Albion. Antiques and collectibles dealers will be set up, rain or shine, on the museum grounds, together with Society tables for white elephants, baked goods, produce and a sizeable outdoor cafe. This will include hot and cold food and beverages including salads from the Village Inn and homemade fruit pies. The Albion Rotary club will operate the hot dog and hamburger tent.
As in previous years, the Albion Quilt Guild will present a show of new and old-time quilts in the apse of the Cobblestone Church, with Kelly Peruzzini of Albion in charge. Lockport's Pine Grove Quilt Shop will be on hand as a vendor of quilt makings.
Parking and admission to the fair are free with a small fee for the quilt show. President George Zeis of Williamsville has named William Nestle of Childs, general chairman with Joyce Lawrence of Spencerport as checker for dealers and workers. Mary Ann Braunbach of Albion heads the Outdoor Cafe.
