Nicole Gavigan, daughter of Chris and Mary Gavigan, Hilton, recently participated in the Appaloosa Club's Horsemen's Competition where she was awarded the Grand Champion ribbon for the novice division age 14 to 18. The competition was held July 9-10 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Plattsburg, New York. This was a two-day event with participants coming from the Northeast including Canada. Gavigan participated in the Monroe County 4-H Horse Show held at Manitou Hill Farm July 13-14 and won the Grand Champion ribbon for the English class and Reserve Champion ribbon for the Western class in her age bracket. On August 14, Gavigan will be driving a buggy for her first time at the Walnut Hill Carriage Driving Competition being held at Walnut Hill Farm, Pittsford. |
