MCSBA president is Churchville resident
North Chili resident and Churchville-Chili Board of Education president Sheryl Johnson was recently elected president of the Monroe County School Boards Association. Johnson served as MCSBA's vice president during the 2001-2002 school year. Her service with the association includes co-chairing the MCSBA Legislative Committee as well as serving on the Steering Committee.
Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge of public education to MSCBA. She has served on the Churchville-Chili Board of Education since 1997 and is serving her second term as president.
Johnson, along with her husband, Mark, and two sons have been residents of the district for 15 years. David, 19, who graduated from Churchville-Chili in 2001, has just completed his freshman year at Oswego State where he is studying biochemistry. Robert, 15, is entering his junior year at Churchville-Chili Senior High School.
Johnson said, "I am honored to have been chosen to be President of the Monroe County School Board Association this year. The mission of our association is to provide the gift of education to all our children and provide it at the highest level. I will do my best to carry on in the manner of MCSBA's fine leadership."
