Holley Student Council donates to Lakeside
Holley Middle School Student Council members made a gift to Lakeside Memorial Hospital's Pre-Admission Testing Department of kid-size tables and chairs, movies, books, games and toys. The items will be put to good use by many children who must go through pre-admission testing or are in the hospital for same-day surgery. A place to color and read and movies to help pass the time will be appreciated by the children.
The Holley students hold four school dances a year and vote on how to spend the proceeds. They try to give something back to the school, the community or an outreach project such as the food cupboard in Rochester.
"This is such a wonderful gift to the kids here. We were so delighted and surprised when they brought everything in," said Deb Coleman, PAT Nurse.
"The students voted by a large majority to use what they collected to help the kids at Lakeside," said Eileen Lasselle, Student Council Advisor. "Kids helping kids - that's what it's all about."
