New Brockport district residents need to register
Brockport Central School District Registrar's Office reminds all new residents to register their children for the 2002-2003 school year. To ensure that student placement and bus transportation will be in place prior to the first day of school, residents should contact the Registrar's office at 637-1857 for a registration packet. Parents of a child eligible to begin Kindergarten (must be 5 years old by December 1, 2002), should contact the Registrar's office as soon as possible. Residents may also stop by the Registrar's office in the District Administration Building, 40 Allen Street. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bring the following items to register a child: child's birth certificate, immunizations, parent/guardian photo identification, proof of residency (telephone or electric bill), social security number, and custody or guardianship papers (if applicable).
Brockport School District residents can check their mailboxes for important information about their child's school. A mailing going out by August 15 will include the district calendar, a student profile, school lunch, PTSA, and volunteer information. The transportation notices will be sent out around the third week of August. Parents are encouraged to review the information on the student profile (which includes date of birth, parents names and emergency contact information), make any corrections and return in the reply envelope provided.
