Clarkson Summer Concert Series
features female vocalists
Four of Rochester's well known singers will be brought together for one night only at the Clarkson Summer Concert Series at Clarkson Community Park on Lake Road in Brockport, on Monday, August 26 at 7 p.m. Dee Adams, Julie Dunlap, Maria Gillard, and Annie Wells will share the stage, performing their original music as well as a few cover songs by popular female musicians who have inspired them. The performance is dubbed "4 Strong Voices, 1 Night of Music."
Though mostly an acoustic night, each of these women represent a unique style of music, which they will demonstrate in each of their sets. Julie Dunlap will bring her foot-stomping country style, while Annie Wells will soothe the audience with her smooth jazz influenced pop. Maria Gillard will be in full folk-diva effect, and to round out the night, host Dee Adams will give an acoustic rock performance that she says won't be soon forgotten.
This songwriter's showcase is going to be the highlight of Clarkson's Summer Concert Series, which has already been host to great acts such as Chris Wilson, Dennis Monroe, and more. Each of the women involved have found Rochester success and have been working to further their careers by playing across the country at festivals, nightclubs, coffeeshops, and national showcases.
