See the stars at Northampton Park

A Public Star Party, free public observing through telescopes of galaxies, gaseous nebulae, and star clusters with members of the local astronomy club, is planned for Friday August 30 (held only if skies are clear.) Cloud date is Saturday if clouded out on Friday. Members of the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science will host the star viewing from 9 to 11 p.m. at Northampton Park, near the ski lodge on Hubbell Road - off Route 31 in Ogden.

Knowledgeable people will be on hand to answer questions. No equipment is needed, but people who want to learn how to better use their own telescopes and binoculars are welcome to bring them along. Dress for the weather and cooler August nights.
