'Faces' is Apple Fest photo contest theme

The Apple of My Eye Photo Contest at this year's Hilton Apple Fest, October 4-5, is extending a "call for entries" for photographs of that special face.

This year there will be an open division and a children's division for photographers 12 and under. The prizes are as follows: Best of Show - $100; Open Division - 1st place $50, 2nd place $35, 3rd place $25, five (5) honorable mentions, $5 each; children's division - 1st place $25, 2nd place $15, 3rd place $10, five (5) honorable mentions, $5 each; four "sponsor's awards." Prizes will be awarded on Saturday, October 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Gazebo.

Entries may be dropped off at the Hilton Big M during business hours or mailed to: Photo Contest, P.O. Box 1, Hilton, NY 14468. The postmark deadline for entries is Friday, September 27.
