Bishop makes visit to Trinity
The Right Reverend Jack M. McKelvey, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester, will make a visitation to Trinity Church on Ridge Road West on Sunday, September 8 at the 10:30 a.m. service.
Bishop McKelvey will preside at the service during which there will be a baptism and confirmation and receiving people into membership. McKelvey will have the opportunity to share with the congregation his vision for the ministry and outreach of the parish. The Bishop will give the homily, and meet with the lay leadership of the parish, following a reception honoring the baptized, confirmed and received.
Trinity has been working with Bishop McKelvey and his staff for over two years on strengthening and renewing the ministry of the church in the community. According to the Rector, the Rev. Donald Hill, "It is joy to have the Bishop with us to inspire us and to help us connect with the ministry of the larger church throughout the diocese and the world."
Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 3450 Ridge Road West at North Avenue. All are invited and welcome to meet Bishop McKelvey at his visitation.
