Other programs include Preschool Story Time, Young Adult Club, Adult Readers Group, Writers Group, and GED preparation classes. The weekly Preschool Story Time program starts Tuesday, September 3. It begins at 10:30 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. Each week has a different theme. Stories are read to the children and are followed by a craft activity.
The Young Adult Club meets the first Saturday of the month at 11:30 a.m. A student must be in the sixth grade or older to participate. The group helps at the library and also reads a book once a month. The book for September is Time Enough for Drums. This past summer, the YA's helped with the summer reading program.
The Adult Readers Club meets on the first Monday of the month 7 to 8 p.m. This month's selection is House of Sand and Fog by Andrea Dubus. The Writers Group meets on the third Monday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. GED classes meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m.
