Door-to-door fundraising doesn't support local DARE

Some residents in the South Parma, Ogden-Spencerport area may have been asked for donations to DARE America, says DARE instructor and Ogden Police Officer Steve Brown. He wants anyone asked to be aware that the door-to-door solicitations do not raise money for the local DARE program run by Ogden Police and the Spencerport School Distirct.

Brown says the local substance abuse and prevention education program does none if its fundraising door-to-door. In this campaign for DARE America, residents are asked to "Play and Save."
