National award winner at North Chili Quilt Show

Arleen Boyd, winner of several national awards for her exquisite quilts, and a very popular teacher, lecturer, and workshop leader locally, will exhibit several of her quilts and teach classes as "Featured Quilter" at the North Chili Quilt Show September 13 and 14.

Her quiltworks have won purchase awards by the American Quilter's Society national museum in Paducah, Kentucky and at Eastcoast Quilters Alliance for "Best of Show." Noted for her original designs and intricate hand quilting, several of Boyd's quilts have been published in books and magazines.

North Chili Quilt Show will be at United Methodist Church of North Chili, 2200 Westside Drive at Buffalo Road, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, September 13 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 14. The celebration of quilts includes 100 quilts and wall hangings, 100+ ABC baby quilts, vendors, gift shop, refreshments, ample parking, handicapped accessible and Farmers Market on the church grounds Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Staple food items are being collected for Spencerport Ecumenical Food Cupboard. Donation $3 to benefit Grace Urban Ministries.
