Celebrates 91st birthday

Grace (Dunbar) Kagel of Hilton celebrated her 91st birthday August 14, 2002. Grace has been a life long member of the Hilton Community. She is predeceased by her husband, John L. Kagel. The couple was very active in serving the senior citizens of the community by organizing and leading tours. Many of the tours included not only seniors of Hilton but of the surrounding communities such as Hamlin, Clarkson, Sweden and Brockport. Some of the tours they organized were an Alaskan tour, Hawaiian tour, a tour to New Orleans, and others as well as day tours.

Grace is a member of the Hilton Baptist Church and for many years was organizer of the yearly church rummage sale. Dunbar Road was named for her parents. Grace can recount history of Hilton and the Parma-Hamlin areas to this day. Her memories of the senior citizen tours are within her heart and daily conversations.

Grace Kagel has one son, and five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, along with nine great-great grandchildren.
