new park sign Over the past twenty some years, the Spencerport Lions Club has supported additions to Pineway Ponds Park. Starting back in the early 1980s with the construction of a pavilion which is now the Owen Lodge, the club added two more pavilions which are now the Gravelle Lodge and a storage facility. Other additions are the score board at the football and soccer field, donations to the skate park project and other improvements in the park. At the club's annual picnic, members donated $500 for the sign replacement at the entrance of the park. "Just looking at the numbers of people using the park justifies our commitment to this facility," Lion Ed Nau says. |
