Holley Elementary School welcomes vice principal
Holley Central School District has created the position of vice principal to help oversee the 750-student elementary school and has welcomed Sheryl Feigenbaum to fill that position. The growth of the district and the elementary building, along with moving the sixth-grade to the Elementary School, prompted the need for a vice principal there, according to district officials.
"After speaking with several Holley staff, I was told what a wonderful place to work this is," said Feigenbaum. "It is child-oriented with high expectations for students and staff, and I knew I wanted to be part of a district that held students and staff to such high standards."
Most recently, Feigenbaum taught third- and fourth-grades in the Rochester City School District. Prior to that, she taught fifth-grade at Richardson Independent School District in Dallas, Texas. Feigenbaum also worked as an administrative intern to the principal and assistant superintendent of instruction K-8 in the Wheatland-Chili School District.
As vice principal, Feigenbaum's responsibilities will include overseeing student management and discipline; teacher training and observation; extracurricular activities within the building, such as field trips and fundraisers; general care of the building; family and community support; and acting as test liaison for state and district testing.
