Frank Reich to appear at Pearce Memorial Church
Frank Reich will be speaking at Pearce Memorial Church on Monday, October 7, 2002 at 7 p.m.
Considered by many to be the best backup quarterback in the NFL today, Frank Reich is known for his incredible comebacks. Not once but twice in his football career, he led his team to victory in the face of virtually insurmountable odds including the playoff game against the Houston Oilers in 1993. The Oilers had a 35-3 lead over Buffalo. Reich looked to stop their stampede one play at a time. In the final minutes of overtime the Bills won 41-38 - an NFL comeback record that still stands today.
As a speaker, Reich draws from his experiences to encourage anyone who faces adversity. With sincerity and conviction, he shows audiences of every age and background that there is a powerful promise in victory as well as in loss, according to event organizers.
The public is invited to attend his one-hour talk and the half-hour autograph session immediately following. Autographed footballs will be given away. Admission is free.
Pearce Church is located at 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili. Handicap accessible. Call 594-9488 for more information.
