Run, Walk or Bike to benefit Habitat for Humanity
Twelve churches in the Greece area have formed a coalition to sponsor and build a Habitat for Humanity house at 27 Rauber Street in the city of Rochester. The September 28 Run, Walk, or Bike event will raise funds to be used in the building of this house. The hike or ride will follow the Greece bike trail. Participants may travel any distance they like; from English Road to Ridge Road and back is five miles. Those who wish to go further could extend their journey going north along the trail to the Parkway. Participants may donate to Habitat at the time of check-in; or if they would like to get sponsors, pledge sheets can be obtained from Sharon Brunett (392-2861). Sponsors can donate by the mile, or give a flat rate. Check in at the northern end of English Road Park; the entrance is on English Road between Fetzner and I-390. |
