Community invited to join in SCS Spirit Week activities

The Spencerport Central Schools Department of Physical Education and Athletics invites the community to join in the events Spirit Week and Homecoming 2002. Spirit Week is September 23-28, 2002 and Homecoming weekend is Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28.

Spirit Days are scheduled Monday through Friday with Spirit Pep Assemblies on Friday afternoon at both Cosgrove Middle School and Spencerport High School at 1:30 p.m. "The Battle of the Bands" is scheduled for Friday evening at Spencerport High School in the East Gym beginning at 8 p.m.

Athletic contests on Thursday/Friday afternoons and evenings include:

• Thursday, September 26: Girls Soccer vs. Brighton 6:30 p.m. at Soccer Stadium;
• Friday, September 27: Girls Tennis vs. Hilton 4:30 p.m. at Roberts Wesleyan College, Boys Volleyball vs. Pittsford 4:30 p.m. at High School East Gym, Girls Swimming vs. East/SOTA 4:30 p.m. at High School Pool, Boys Soccer vs. Arcadia 6:30 p.m. at Soccer Stadium.
• Saturday, September 28: Homecoming Parade-Beginning at 1 p.m. from the Firemen's Exempt Field in the village and proceeding to the Bernabi Elementary School. Boys/Girls Cross Country at McQuaid Invitational at noon Genesee Valley Park, Varsity Football vs. Athena 2 p.m. at Trowbridge.
