Community chorus performs; invites new members
The Spencerport Community Chorus has begun rehearsals for its fall and winter concert season.
Under the direction of Margaret Colucci and accompanied by Margaret Johnson, the chorus will perform at the Eastman Theater on Sunday, September 29 at 4 p.m. in a Prism Concert sponsored by the Greater Rochester Choral Consortium. The public is invited to attend the concert which will involve 15 choral groups. There is no charge.
The chorus will present its Winter Concerts on Saturday, December 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church (the White Church) on Church Street in Spencerport. Members of the Amadeus Chorale, directed by Darla Bair, will be guests of the chorus on Sunday. The concerts are free with donations accepted that are used to off-set the cost of the concerts.
The Spencerport Community Chorus rehearses on Sunday afternoons at the White Church from 3 to 5:15 p.m. There are no auditions and all singers are welcome. For information, call 352-6223.
