Riga Recreation schedules fall programs

Halloween Ceramics. Paint a Halloween piece to decorate a room. All supplies included.

•Mom and Me (preschool) from 10 to 11 a.m.; children ages 6 and up from noon to 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 14 at Maher Lodge at Sanford Road Park. $8 per ceramic piece. Participants should dress in old clothes or bring a smock. Pizza lunch and drink.

•"Pumpkin Still-Life" with Nancy Sue - Create a project that will be suitable for framing. Saturday, October 19; for grades 1-4 from 10 a.m. to noon; for grades 5-7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Riga Recreation Office. $12 per person. All supplies and materials included; snack.

•Holiday Art with Nancy Sue. Create a craft for the holiday. All supplies and materials included; snack. Saturday, December 21. For grades 1-4, from 10 a.m. to noon. For grades 5-7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Riga Recreation Office, Upstairs Meeting Room, $12 per person.

•Mom and Me Art (or dad, grandparent, caregiver) For youth ages 3-5. Tuesdays, October 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Riga Recreation Office, Upstairs Meeting Room. $25 per person.

•Clay Projects - For youth ages 6-8. Saturdays, November 2, 9, 16, December 7, 14 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. For youth ages 9-12 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. At the Riga Recreation Office, Upstairs Meeting Room. $35 per person.

•Fine Arts Drawing 2 - a Continuation of Fine Arts Drawing, newcomers welcome. For youth ages 8-12. Tuesdays, October 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Riga Recreation Office, Upstairs Meeting Room. $30 per person.

•Free! Haunted Halloween Pumpkin Hunt and Dance! Test your night time skills by using a flashlight to find prizes. Huge Costume Contest. Enjoy a live DJ, dancing, pizza and bug juice. Bring your own flashlight and bag. For boys and girls, grades 5-7 Saturday, October 26, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Maher Lodge at South Sanford Road Recreational Facility.

•Gal's Day Out! Paint a ceramic Christmas tree with lights for the holidays. Bring a dish to pass for lunch, beverage and utensils provided. All materials included. For adults 18 years and older from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 16. At Maher Lodge at Sanford Road Park. $14 per ceramic piece. The instructor is Carol Passaniti.
