Girl Scouts begin cookie sale fundraiser

The Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley (GSGV) will soon be demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit by canvassing the community for cookie orders.

Locally, nearly 13,000 Girl Scouts, with the help of more than 4,600 adults, will knock on doors taking cookie orders from their friends and neighbors October 19 through November 3 and delivering cookies November 16 to December 20. Cookie booth sales will be held at area locations November 26 to December 15.

Friendship Circles, Animal Treasures, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel Delites, Shortbread and Lemon Pastry Cremes are on the cookie list this year. For details about the cookie program, call the GSGV office at (585) 239-7925.
